Season two of Gilmore Girls was a rollar coaster to say the least. Especially for the Gilmore ladies. Both go through their fair share of relationship drama for sure. There's engagments, breakups, rekindling of old flames, and sparks with new people. And of course, let's not forget the family drama. Gilmore Girls wouldn't be Gilmore Girls without it.
Rory struggles more with life at Chilton and with Paris. At one point, she almost loses her chance at going to an Ivy League school. Lorelai on the other hand, realizes that it's now time to work on her dream of opening her very own Inn. She and Sookie try to find the perfect place to do it but run into a few roadblocks along the way.
Luke's sister Liz is introduced (sorta), and so is her son, Jess. She sends him to live with Luke because she thinks he needs a strong male presence in her life and someone to keep him out of trouble. In this season we see Luke struggle with that and Lorelai step in to give him some guidance and advice. Jess and Rory become friends and at times, he is a not so good influence on her. Because of this, Lorelai and Luke have a few fights that they eventually get over.
Richard is forced to retire from his long time job as an insurance consultant. Realizing that his work is his life, he begins his own company. Emily meets Mia, the owner of the Independence Inn that took Lorelai and Rory in after Lore ran away from home as a teenager. Emily reveals that she always hoped Lorelai and Christopher would work out.
Lane has her very first break up. During a visit to the Stars Hollow Music Shop, she falls in love with a drum set and realizes that her dream is to be in a rock band. Lorelai graduates college and it is the first time her parents get to see her graduate so the moment is a bit emotional for all of them. Rory misses it but her mother forgives her for it. Sookie and Jackson get engaged, then married in the season finale. Chris (who started to get close to Lorelai again), drops some big news at the wedding.
Overall, season two was good. So much happens that I just couldn't give away. There's a lot of happy moments, sad moments, and humorous ones too. If you like season one but don't like this one, I just don't see how haha
I give Season two 4.7/5 Stars.
