25 Popular Movies I Have Surprisingly Never Seen.

KatMarie

I thought it would be fun to deviate a bit from my usual blog posts and surprise you guys with something special. I have compiled a list of popular movies that I haven't seen. Some may actually be pretty surprising.

Understand that this doesn't mean that i haven't seen them at all or know a lot about these films. My knowledge on a good bit of these is actually pretty vast. I just haven't sat down and watched these all the way through. Over the years (especially watching YouTube), I have seen clips from the majority of these films or seen some on TV.

Most of these are on my "to watch at some point" list. I tried to put these in order from the least to most surprising. It was tough to do so it might not look particularly accurate to you personally. But, enjoy!

25. Memento

Aside from a few clips, I never saw much of this one. As someone who mostly watches comedies and horror films, this never really came across my radar until recently.

24. Say Anything

I love films some would consider "classic" so it's surprising to even me that i haven't seen this one yet.

23. Field Of Dreams

This one is one i plan to eventually see. It's one i don't think i'll like that much but probably will love.

22. The Breakfast Club

This is just another 80's film I don't know how I missed it. These nostalgic kind of films are my thing!

21. Stand By Me

Stand By Me is easily one of the top rated films on just about any list I come across. It inspired many films and tv shows that I love (Stranger Things is the most recent example). That being said, I HAVE to see it sometime.

20. Dazed and Confused

This one just doesn't seem like my kind of thing lol But I will probably watch it at some point.

19. Rocky Horror Picture Show

This just never appealed to me. Sorry. It seems hilarious, though and Tim Curry seems to have portrayed his character flawlessly (as always).

18. Monty Python and The Holy Grail

I've seen many many clips from this. It is comedy gold and definitely has some good stuff in it. But, I just can't see myself getting into it enough to watch it all.

17. Dirty Dancing

Being that I LOVE me some Patrick Swayze, I am not sure how I missed this one too. I guess with no female friends around, I just don't have anyone to watch it with. It seems like a good chick flick to watch with people lol

16. Cast Away

I avoid this one mostly because I know i'll cry like a baby. I'll see it sometime.

15. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

I love horror, especially movies from the 60's, 70's & 80's. I just don't care much for torture and cannibalism, two things that make up this series lol I have seen a few of the later installments, though. I keep putting this one off but i'll eventually see it (same with the original Last House On The Left).

14. Avatar

Here's another that never appealed to me.

13. V for Vendetta

V sounds interesting and I am into these kinds of things. But at the same time, I am just not in a hurry to see this one. I will at some point and maybe i'll really love it. Who knows!

12. Shawshank Redemption

Another Stephen King classic I need to take a look at.

11. Labyrinth

I feel like if you aren't into Bowie or this type of fantasy, this movie just isn't going to be that appealing to you. I'll probably never see it, honestly.

10. Reservoir Dogs

I actually really love Quentin Tarantino films. I have seen some of this one (when my guy was watching it). It looks really entertaining and most people say it is their favorite of his films. I'll definitely check this one out

9. Happy Gilmore

Again, I'm not sure how I missed out on this one all of these years. I've seen many, many clips, though so I know what I am missing lol

8. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

I remember seeing bits and pieces of Ace Ventura as a kid. It's definitely Carrey at his best!

7. Goodfellas

Something most people don't know is that i am so in love with gangster stuff. I often find myself reading about them or looking at videos on YouTube. So the fact that I haven't seen one of the highest rated gangster films is truly amazing to me. Just like with some earlier entries on this list, I have seen bits and pieces of this one. I'll absolutely be watching this one all the way through sometime. Pesci is hilarious! Or dare I say, "funny" :D

6. The Sixth Sense

My gosh I have missed out on some great stuff. I almost feel sheltered lol It's too bad I know how this one ends already. I'll still watch sometime.

5. The Never Ending Story

Just like with Labyrinth, this never seemed like my thing. And that horse scene will most definitely make me cry so i'm not even about to put myself through that kind of emotional torture.

4. Predator

I grew up watching a lot of action films because that's what my stepdad loves. He had us watch just about everything but Schwartzenegger films. For whatever reason he doesn't really care for him. That being said, I never saw this one fully. I hear it's a really good one, though.

3. The Big Lebowski

I had no idea this even existed until I met my guy. In our entire 7 years together, I have still not seen this one. I often plan to but we always end up watching something else. I have seen all of the best clips probably a dozen times, though.

2. The Karate Kid

I know, I know, this is getting ridiculous. How could anybody have not seen this one by now? It is one of the biggest pop culture hits, has been since it came out, i'd say. But I swear, I never actually avoided it. I just never really thought 'ya know, I think i'm going to watch the Karate Kid." lol I have seen some of the best scenes and I know a lot of the best quotes and stuff. I am not entirely clueless about it. It is one I will see sometime. Maybe soon.

1. The Princess Bride

I promise I didn't live under a rock my whole life. I actually grew up watching movies a lot. But, I watched most of it with my family and my parents always chose the movies. This wasn't their thing and i'm not entirely sure if it is my own. It is on almost every "must see" list I have looked at (and I have looked at many). The following for this movie is crazy. So for that alone, I will have to see what all the fuss is about sometime. I've seen clip after clip and know quote after quote. And hey, Andre The giant is in it. We all know how much I love wrestling! :D

if you have read through all of this, thank you for your time. I am not a video kind of person so I make blog posts. They take more time to look at (and type sometimes) but I take pride in posting things that I think people might find interesting. If you enjoyed this list or are totally surprised by the things on it, you should check out my next list when It is posted. It'll totally shock you!
