Top 10 Disney Channel Live Action Series

KatMarie

The show had to have originally aired on Disney Channel to count. So as much as I love Boy Meets World, it does not qualify here.

1. That's So Raven

I don't think I could ever put any other show above this one. There's just something so timeless about it. Perhaps it's the nostalgia I have for it, or maybe it's just that it was that good. Raven Symone brought her character to life in ways that were so believable, so genuine. The supporting cast was incredible too. You wanted to see what shenanigans they'd find themselves in each week and how they'd get out of them. Plus, nobody has been able to play so many characters in a kids show quite like Raven did. Who can forget Liz Anya?

2. Hannah Montana

I know most people wouldn't put this in this spot on their own list. But, I am not other people. I LOVED this show when it was airing, and I love it even today. I decided to test a theory some years back to see if my opinions on it would change knowing everything I do now about Miley Cyrus. They did not. I still found so much enjoyment in the show. Miley was great, Billy Ray was entertaining, Jackson had me rolling with laughter, and the rest of the supporting characters were fun to watch. Lily was always my favorite character, though. Emily Osment is the best! Still to this day I can put this show on and get a few laughs out of it.

3. Phil of the Future

Here's another show that is super high on my list, but wouldn't be on others. I always really enjoyed this show. It was outlandish, funny, and original. You wanted to see if the Diffy family ever made it back home, and how they coped in our time period. It made for entertaining television. I feel it is highly underrated.

4. Lizzie McGuire

There's not much I could say about this classic that hasn't been said before. It was an incredible show. I'm excited to see how the reboot/sequel series will play out and where our favorite characters are now. Hopefully everyone reprises their roles. And let's not forget, Hilary Duff is one of few major Disney stars who didn't go wild after her time with them. I struggled with this show and Phil of the Future for the third and fourth spots. Ultimately, I went with this order but I feel they're pretty interchangeable in my heart.

5. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody

This one is a gem. Two young boys living in a hotel, what could go wrong? Haha I preferred Zack as a kid. I thought he was the cutest. But, that may have just been because his sense of style and personality was more similar to mine. But these days, I am more like Cole (Cody). Even the side characters were all great. Mr. Moseby, Maddie, London, and Esteban all made me laugh every episode. This show also had some great cameos in it.

6. Girl Meets World

This one was a great continuation of the classic Boy Meets World show. It was fun to catch up with Cory, Topanga, Shawn, and Eric. But, equally interesting to see them pass on some of their wisdom and knowledge to Cory and Topanga's children and their friends. What I love most was that Cory essentially became Mr. Feeny! I was heartbroken when this show was cancelled so abruptly. I hope that it can be brought back for at least another season or two soon for Disney+. Maybe they could just put the kids in high school and go on from there, since the cast is a few years older now. It only makes sense that way.

7. Good Luck Charlie

Maybe my love for this one starts with how adorable Charlies is, maybe not. I'm not sure. But I love it! The rest of the cast make it a fun watch, though. There's never really a dull moment. It was really the only show that I liked of the new wave of Disney shows that came out at the time.

8. Raven's Home

This one is just a great follow up to That's so Raven. It's the Girl Meets World equivalent to it. I love getting to see those characters I loved so much growing up, again. I love seeing how their lives are now, and what their children are like. Naturally, Raven and Chelsea are still getting themselves into stuff. And just like that old saying goes, your kids will be even worse than you. Raven's kids are always into something and she has to help them clean it up. I hope that someday we get to see some more of the original cast. I get why Orlando Brown can't come back as Eddie, but I sure miss the character. It almost feels unnatural to have the girls without Eddie.

9. Cory in the House

Another spin-off of That's So Raven, this one focused exclusively on Cory and Victor. I remember feeling like it was such a weird story line at the time. I loved it, though. The duo were always entertaining on the original show anyways, so seeing them again was bound to be good. They moved from San Francisco to the White House They were truly fish out of water! I even liked the new characters that were introduced, mostly to interact with Cory.

10. Wizards of Waverly Place

This show helped me fall in love with Selena Gomez. In a girl crush kind of way, of course. She is so pretty. But it also showed that she could act pretty well, and it showcased her singing ability. Alex was my favorite. The rest of her family were equally wacky, though. It was a good show for the witch/wizard lover in me!

Honorable Mentions:

The Suite Life on Deck - This one just made it here because I ran out of spaces above lol It was slightly less entertaining than the original show, but still super fun to watch.

Even Stevens - This one is only listed as an honorable mention because sadly, I never got to watch enough of it to get a good opinion on it. I saw some growing up and I did love it. I even loved the movie. I just didn't see enough of it to comfortably judge it.
