Top 5: SNL Skits

KatMarie

Ongoing skits or one-offs, these are my personal favorites in SNL history!

1. Chippendale's

Patrick Swayze is a God to me, so of course I love this one most of all! But Chris Farley is absolutely hilarious in this one. It is extremely hard not to laugh while watching this. I can’t imagine how hard it was for everyone to keep a straight face while he was performing it. This never fails to put me in a good mood.

2. Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood

Ever wanted to see a ghetto version of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood? Well that is exactly what this is, and it is pure comedy gold! Eddie Murphy at his finest! Even in his return to SNL after decades, he nailed it! Every one of these skits are great and worth the watch.

3. Matt Foley: In A Van Down By The River

Try not to laugh at this gem. It’s tough. Again, Farley is perfect. Just imagine him as a motivational speaker and the comedy that can come from that. You can see David Spade and Christina Applegate struggle to keep it together. That’s how amazing Farley is as a comedic actor.

4. The Rock’s Monologue

I personally love this one a lot because of my love of Professional Wrestling. It may not be considered one of the greatest skits in SNL history to anyone else, but it is to me. The Rock goes on with a monologue and the camera pans to some surprise appearances in the crowd. It spirals from there.

5. Lunch Lady Land

Again, this is Chris Farley at his finest! Only add a dress, Adam Sandler at his best, and a musical number!

Honorable Mentions: More Cowbell, GE “Big Boys”
